AssuranceBox was founded by Paraj Kakkar. We're headquartered in Singapore and our operations base is in India. Our investment partnership approach and delivery of consulting services is based on industry specialist knowledge, track record and networks built over decades. Our track record and networks span multiple industry sectors, including supply chain, logistics, distribution, food, and CPG. Paraj has served in management and P&L roles, and in principal investment, private equity fund manager and board oversight capacities.
In our digital solutions business, our extended team has a wide range of skills including web, mobile, software development and implementation, operations and analytics. We collaborate with a wide network of business partners in Singapore and across India and South East Asia.
Paraj has 20 years of operating as well as fund investment experience in private equity funds in South East Asia, US/Canada, and India where he has invested in companies in the logistics, food, business services, internet, mobile, and other sectors.
Earlier, he was an investment director and operating partner at Planet Investments and Ventures, a private equity fund headquartered in Singapore, with interests in $25-$250M value mid-market growth companies across diverse industries, including logistics/supply chain, food, business services and software in South East Asia and India. At Planet Ventures, he served as the investor nominee on the boards of portfolio companies, including a food services joint venture with SATS in Singapore, and at India’s largest cold chain third-party logistics company that serves MNC clients including McDonalds, YUM, Walmart, and others. Previously, while based in Toronto, Canada and Mumbai, India, he held corporate development responsibilities with business services vendors and has been an investment manager and director with private equity and venture capital funds. In his private equity fund management roles, he has originated, executed, monitored and monetized venture stage and mid-market growth stage equity investments ranging from $250K to $50M.
Paraj has an undergraduate degree in engineering from the Moscow Power Institute and an MBA from Carleton University, Canada.
